New Monastery in Brazil
A New Monastery, Saint Michael the Archangel, began on the first Sunday of Advent. The Holy Mass was presided by Fr. Gustavo Nieto, General Superior of the IVE. Fr. Alejandro Cunnietti and Fr. Esteban Olivares have been assigned to this new contemplative community.

15th anniversary of the Aspirancy “St. Christina” in the Middle East
On Saturday, December 2, by grace of God, we were able to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Aspirancy “Santa Cristina” in Alexandria. We met in mid-afternoon for the celebration of the Holy Mass, where Fr. Gabriel Romanelli, IVE Provincial Superior of the Middle East, celebrated the Eucharist. In his homily, Fr. Gabriel emphasized the calling from God and the need of our fidelity to this call and to the graces that God daily gives us. He then thanked God for all the benefits received in these 15 years and the 12 vocations in those 15 years. He explained that humanly seen, the number of sisters may seem small, but God doesn’t look with human eyes. We can see the blessings of God just by looking at the many Masses that were celebrated there, the many Eucharistic Adorations that the Aspirants made, the works of charity and the many sacrifices. These 12 sisters are currently in various missions, mainly in the Middle East.

Mass of Thanksgiving in Anjara Jordan
For the past 4 years, the Mercy Home “Our Lady of Hope” in Anjara, has celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving for all the benefits received throughout the year. The benefactors were especially prayed for, because without their help, the work wouldn’t be able to be done. The bishop of Jordan, Archbishop William Al Shomali, celebrated the Holy Mass, and Fr. Refat Bader (the director of the Catholic Center of Communications of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem), Father Samer Sawalha, Fr. Yousef Francis, IVE and Fr. Marcos Salameh, IVE concelebrated. The sisters who work in the homes of mercy were present, along with benefactors, employees and parishioners of the parish.
After the ceremony we all had dinner together with the traditional fogon.
Let us continue to pray for the young people of this home, for their parents, the sisters, the benefactors and the employees.

On the Solemnity of Christ the King, we had Family Days with the families in Loja, Ecuador. At the closing Mass, 13 novices received their new names.

Visit of the Apostolic Administrator to the Mission in Gaza
During the first days of December, we had the grace of the visit of the Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem to our parish in Gaza. For the first time in many years, the bishop came to stay for three days on his pastoral visit to the Parish of the Holy Family in Gaza. After some preparation, we went to greet him at the gates of the wall that separates the city of Gaza from the rest of the world. With great joy, he was also received at the parish, where a large number of parishioners where waiting for him. During these three days, he was able to see the city, visit some Christian families and the Catholic schools, and conferred the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion for 13 of our parish children. He was also able to participate in the daily life of the parish.

During the visit of Mother Corredentora, Superior General of the SSVM, many activities were carried out in the Province of Our Lady of Sheshan. There were meetings with the Third Order, meetings with young people from the homes of mercy, and a meeting of permanent formation. She was also able to visit many of the apostolates.
