Pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Apparition – Brazil

The religious family of the Incarnate Word made a beautiful pilgrimage to Our Lady of Aparecida last Sunday, November 11. There were about 300 pilgrims, among them priests and seminarians of the IVE, the SSVM sisters, along with several young people and lay people who walked more than 10 km from the city of Roseira to Puerto Itaguazú. The walk began early. At 5 o’clock in the morning the angelic greeting was pronounced by the religious and laity as they prayed the Holy Rosary. Many took advantage of the opportunity to go to confession along the way.

At Holy Mass more than 50 lay people, members of the 3rd order, consecrated themselves to Our Lady in maternal slavery of love, according to the method of St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort.

The intention of out pilgrimage was for an increase of holy vocations to the priesthood and religious life and also for the laity, that their life may manifest the social reign of Christ.
