With great joy we would like to congratulate the 5 Servidoras, who on May 8th, the feast of Our Lady of Lujan, professed their perpetual vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, in order to be more like Our Lord. Pray for the sanctity and perseverance of our beloved sisters in the Byzantine Rite.

Re-consecration of the Church of the Annunciation in Aleppo, Syria
Saturday, April 21st we had the re-consecration of the Church, “Our Lady of the Annunciation” in the neighborhood of Midan, the little church that will be ours, and which will be our center of activities in the Eastern zone of Aleppo.
This church suffered the same fate as the houses of its faithful, as we recounted in an earlier chronicle. It was one of the many churches that was bombed and later also profaned and sacked during these last few terrible years. A war as unjust as it was cruel, that has displaced almost five million people, that up to the present has claimed no less than half a million victims and one and a half million wounded…
Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord in the Holy Land
750th Anniversary of the Cathedral of Monreale, Sicily
On the 26th of April, we had the closing of the 750th anniversary of the dedication of the Cathedral “Santa Maria Nuova”, where by the grace of God we have a community of Servidoras who help in the cathedral. Mother Orante (the General Secretary), together with Mother Lucila, and Sisters Laetitiae and Dulce Nombre, were able to greet Cardinal Pietro Paroli, and help with the preparations for the celebration of this great event.
Plaque for the first Tabernacle of the Servidoras
We placed a plaque on the first tabernacle and the first altar at which the Servidoras prayed. Currently they are located in the chapel of the Saint Joseph novitiate, painted by our sisters.
