International Conference on “Thomas Aquinas and his Reception in Byzantium”

A representative from our Religious Family was able to participate in an international conference regarding St. Thomas and his influence in the Byzantine world, which took place at the Stauros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, in Athens. It was held on the 15th and 16th of this past December, with more than 25 guest speakers from different International Institutions participating.

From our Congregation, Fr. Fernando Bravo (Tinos, Greece) participated and Sr. María Panagía Miola (Rome, Italy) spoke about “The unedited translation of St. Thomas Aquinas’s De aeternitati mundi by Próchoros Kidones”, a book of which she was the curator.

The Conference was sui generis, in Greece. We give thanks for the opportunity to participate in this initiative and we pray for its continued fruits in this cultural field.
